Structural Integration

What is Structural Integration?

Structural Integration is a soft tissue therapy & movement education that is designed to help you feel better and move more freely in your body.

How does it work?

Structural Integration works to alter the density & soften connective tissue to restore postural balance, ease of movement, and a feeling of being more at home in your own body. It is practiced in an organized series of 10 sessions within a framework that is designed to restore efficient movement by aligning and integrating the body’s understanding under and against gravity.

What To Expect?

Our sessions are more than just body work based; they include movement to show the body new patterns and ranges of motion. You’ll walk away from each session with tools on how to integrate the movement patterns needed to maintain the changes that were made during the session. This created more sustainability and efficiency towards accomplishing your goals and achieving greater health from the series.

Increased mobility and flexibility

Enhance mobility and flexibility by releasing restrictions in the connective tissues and promoting better alignment of the body’s structural components, allowing for smoother movement and improved range of motion.

Reduced pain and restriction

Alleviate pain and reduce movement restrictions by addressing underlying neuromuscular patterns, promoting a sense of safety and relaxation within the nervous system, which can significantly diminish discomfort and improve overall mobility.

Enhanced body awareness

Foster a deeper awareness of the body’s alignment, posture, and movement patterns, helping you develop a greater sense of proprioception and kinesthetic awareness to improve overall body function and create a sense of safety in your body.

Increased balance and stability

By addressing imbalances and asymmetries in the body’s structure, structural integration promotes better balance and stability, facilitating more efficient weight distribution and reducing the risk of injury.

Who would benefit from SI?

Chronic Pain and Tension

Individuals who experience chronic tension in their bodies and wanting to find relief, experience more expansion, connection and physical freedom.

Structural Integration can also benefit those who have experienced injury and looking for pain relief, whether that be chronic from habitual use or more acutely from an accident.

Athletes

Athletes can benefit from Structural integration through the way in which it can optimize their biomechanics, enhance coordination, and improve overall function, thereby boosting performance while reducing the likelihood of injuries.
